I like the sort of car, but I want something other than an E30 (318is excluded). What are your experiences with cars like the Audi 90, Mercedes Benz 190E, Alfa Romeo Milano (75), and Merkur XR4ti (Ford Sierra)?
EDIT: Also, I did a burnout in the 240 today. It wasn't on purpose, but I'm still proud. I'm surprised it could even spin the tires.

All neat cars. Didn't realize the XR4Ti really fell in the same category.
You might also look at a Saab 900.

Never said the 190e cosworth is excluded. Would recommend to hoon 10/10.

I do too.

I like the Swedishness of the Saab. The Merkur at least seemed similar enough for me to cross shop.

Not on my budget it isn't.

If I move to Scandanavia I'm plotting on a 190E Cosworth. I've had good experiences with a more typical 190E (roommate's ride in college) so I'd love to see it taken a step beyond.

What's your budget, I almost bought a running, but rough one for 5ish a while ago. If that doesn't work a Mercedes diesel also makes a great frugal hoon machine.

The Merc's interior is almost incomparable to the others. Damn near impossible to find one with a stick though.

Wouldn't the Alfa 164, having come out in the late 80's, also be thereabouts? I had one and it was awesome...really regret selling it.

When I'm ready, I'll be looking at spending about $4000.

Sure does, I completely forgot about the 164. What a beautiful car.

I like the Milano since it's different and as I understand it reasonably reliable (esp for an Alfa).

MD isn't even that far! I'm ready for some bad decisions!

Indeed! Mine was a '91 S, despite being damn near dead it was wonderful, and as I said, I hate that I sold it...
Check it out!

That looks like how I wish people took care of cheap cars. Rough, but someone takes pride in it for sure.

I know right. I also has the 3.0 V6 making 188hp and 183lb-ft. Now imagine this as your MILANO.

The V6 that sounds like God gargling a swarm of angry wasps.

I fucking love the alternative compact executives of that age. Everyone goes E30, but each one has positives and negatives over and under the E30 :)

They're my favorite all-rounders.
